Description

The loved and respected oracle Ms. Blue inspired the Nemesis Quilt. Around 2017, on The Remix Radio Show, Ms. Blue told the story of an enslaved man named Nemesis and how a strip of land between Maryland and Pennsylvania came to be later known as Negro Mountain.
The quilt shows Nemesis standing shirtless and barefoot with his arms raised under a night sky on top of the mountain. His hands touch and hold an energetic source that flows through his body, and the connection with this energy is reflected in the ley lines that appear on his pants. He stands high on the mountains and with the trees in the distance. The power of the ancestors is given to Nemesis while he is atop the mountain.
The Nemesis Quilt represents power, protection, courage, cosmic, earth, and human energy. This quilt honors the strength and perseverance of the Nemesis and countless others. It is a way to tell a story that is seldom told. It also reminds the young of where they have come from and that they can reach their highest potential. Nemesis stands on top of the mountain and represents divine retribution.
