Description
Indiga was inspired by a mask that was taken out of what is now called Africa. This quilt was named to represent all the indigenous people of all lands. The background is black and stitched with the rich colors within the mask.
The mask has ivory, red, black, and gold. It is appliquéd and stitched with color-coordinating thread. The mask is ivory and has blends of red to highlight the black, burgundy, and gold appliques that form the eyes, nose, and mouth of the mask.
